i wish i could get such a great pic of penguins when i go to the aquaruim. the one by where i live they are always behind glass. i can turn the flash off but with how dark it is inside doesn't work. plus the way the penguin section is set up its very crowded back there. nearly impossible to get a decent shot. yours is a very impressive one. i'm sure these penguins much prefer living there then in the below zero freezing temps of antartica.

These guys were amazing, and their enclosure is like their own habitat just minus all the predators. I would never have seen these guys if not for this wonderful aquarium....

They came dressed in their dinner jackets to enjoy the perfect weather of The Melbourne Aquarium.
They swam and sunned themselves in their new enclosure under the watchful eye of tourists and Melbournians alike and watched us as we smiled in appreciation of their beauty....

We, as humans are so selfish, especially where animals are concerned.
They deserve to be free, I agree, but I am so glad that I spent the day with them, otherwise I wouldn't have seen what amazing creatures they truely are...
