This is absolutely touching. I love the amount of detail found, I love how the hair looks so formal and prim for Celestia, and the details in the background is truly glorious. What I like, is that, it's not too much to look like a realistic mountain and sky, it's just enough to perfectly fit in with Celestia, and that's one of the many things I admire about this picture.
The overall picture just look beautiful. I love how you made the focus either the sun or Celestia. Everything else just balances out with the main focus of the picture. This piece is very well put together. It lacks a certain level of polish (specifically the clouds and the sky gradient), but the amount of work you put into this definitely shows through. Your detailing on Celestia in particular is something I really enjoy -- I think it strikes just the right balance between the "superrealistic" fantasy art style that is common nowadays and the light, cartoony style commonly seen in MLP fanart.
The only thing I really can find to harp on is the perspective around Celestia's shoulder and... chest? neck? Where her royal torc is. That's really the only actual complaint, everything else is, as I said before, very solidly put together. Your application of light, especially on the background, is flawless, and your use of texture is very good as well.
Overall this piece is very striking; at thumbnail size it screams, "look at me more closely," and it does not fail to deliver. You've done an excellent job here, and I look forward to more artwork (and even more detail) in the future.
This is a piece of artwork that is far greater than the sum of its parts.

I love the detail in the clouds! and the way the mountains fade in the mist further back looks vary realistic. I think the sky changes just a little too quickly into the stars. but over all the background detail is amazing!
now on to Celestia, you got the colors spot on, great job! there is something a little funky going on with her mouth, and the shading I feel is just a little dark. The detail looks really good, mostly on her wings and main.
over all I think you did an wonderful job. it got my eye and really made me want to see more. there are Just a few things to fix, But other then that keep up the good work!!!

this is such a great drawing of the scenery, that you almost forget that there is a pony in there...
GREAT scenery, drawn with great skill, and it is very realistic, flawless and life-like, while i love the clouds/the sky/the mountains, and the whole shading/lighting effects...

as for the pony itself, she's nicely drawn, cute, and despite her being a cartoon character, you gave her a very realistic skin-texture, and some very realistic shading/lighting as well, which makes her drawing even cooler... good work!
this is a great drawing, and i have faved it some time ago, for its perfection.
