I did this just for fun. I chose Gwen Stefani, because I rarely draw girls and I liked how it's a profile shot instead of a face from the front.

Reference photo used. I used a (makeshift) lightbox for this drawing instead of a grid. It was a lot less work than the grid method, so I am going to try and do more portraits this way.
