Description
This morning our beloved 19 your old kitty had aid passing.We all wished she would have passed naturally in her sleep when she felt like it but shes slowly been declining the last week.
Had not eaten anything of note the last days and her breath had a very peculiar smell suggesting her kidneys had given up.
Shes been on special dry food for 3 years. Medicine and special wet food this last year.
I live on a small island. We dont have a vet on spot and have to travel with boat to get to one.
As to not let her experience the stress of travel or to be in a strange place in her final moments i had the wild life caretaker come and do it.
She would at the very least be at home.
Her death came from a bullet. Not the way any of us wanted, but it was very fast and she was not in discomfort anymore.
We could have given her more time so that maybe she would pass on her own but..i dont think it would be fair to let her slowly wither away as her organs one after another gave up.
She was the bestest kitty. Im sorry it ended this way. Its not what any of us wished for, but may you be at peace and feeling well again.
