I never watched this show, though I think my bro has, and I've been looking at fanart of it and reading some stuff about it on wikis... I suppose she's probably supposed to just be a bottlenose dolphin, but she looks to me like she's also part dusky dolphin. She's pretty, even if her dorsal fin would be lower down her back if she was a real dolphin. \o/

I think she is a dusky dolphin, the distributeion of her markings just totally the same like that sta.sh/0ps3w4yqlst

I imagine probably Pacific White-sided rather than Dusky, since the former are fairly common in aquariums while the latter isn't kept in captivity at all (as far as I'm aware). The markings on the two species are very, very similar.

or she is more a spinner dolphin because her snout is not that short and most is her markings is more clearly straight and grey, not black with special marking on the back
