The moon could be right above Link and the lighting would look like how you made it. The coloring is amazing! you drew Zelda very well. I can't draw her. That's just one more thing I suck at. T.T

I admire your use of colors, especially the dark blues! Need to work on that Zelda, though! You and I probably have the same difficulties when it comes to drawing women (please, correct me if I'm wrong). Odd how I can draw males fairly well, but females are an entirely different story (ignore what's previously in my art gallery, my artistic ability has improved since then)!

Well, seeing as how I posted some advice, I guess I may as well put an opinion, too.
Okay, first off, I like this piece so well, I have it set as my desktop wallpaper. Heck, I think I'll fave it, too. Why not?
Secondly, the Zelda-face fade effect is awesome. Totally fits the theme of the piece. If you did it by accident, it's still awesome, so take a bow anyway.
Third, why are there Zelda fans that hate the princess? It's her game, people. If you don't like Zelda, go play a game named something else. Jebus. Obviously, that wasn't to you, Kyuumu, but I just had to say it. Zelda is wondrous. I love the games, but even moreso, I love the princess.
Fourth, for those of you who object to pairing Link with Zelda, I could fairly point out that there have never been any explicit indications, in any of the games, to support the idea that Link and Zelda are romantically inclined to one another. We do get an obvious indication that Princess Ruto wants to get into Link's tights, but that's another matter altogether. Heh. I know, that's small consolation for all the yaoi fans out there that want to pair him with Dark Link or Sheik, but let's face facts, here, Dark Link is a phantasm conjured from Link's own reflection in the tainted pool of the Water Temple. He's a creature of dark magic, with no solid substance, light enough to stand on a sword's edge, able to vanish into the water in a heartbeat. He's only real enough to hurt Link. And Sheik? Sheik is Zelda. We all know that. So if you pair Link with Zelda, wouldn't that leave them still with the yaoi option if they both want it? What's stopping them?
So yeah, anyway. Marvelous fanart. The lighting is fine, the colors are very effective, the pose is natural. It's all good.

Yeah, I recognized you weren't one of the Zelda-haters, Kyuumu. Me, I absolutely idolize her, hence my avatar picture. Heh. But seriously, she's wise, she's brave, she's clever, she's beautiful, she's calm and serene, yet passionate and caring, she looks damn good in a formal gown, yet she's not afraid to crossdress, she's got musical talent, magical ability, grace and poise, acrobatic skills, the works! She's perfect! I mean, yeah, her wisdom is sometimes one of expediency, which can cause problems down the road, but that makes her more accessible, I think. And she's just ever so adorably out of touch. ^_^ Doesn't recognize Keaton, thinks the mask is of a cute mouse. I simply can't get enough of her.
As to the "Sheik is Zelda, and thus female" bit, that's true as far as it goes, but it's also true that Zelda can become Sheik, and thus male. Now, I dunno how Link himself feels about all this, but if I knew someone that absolutely respectable, lovable and great, that had the added advantage of being able to be either male or female without bothering with serious life-altering surgery, hell, I would never want to pass up a chance that golden. We're talking more fun than Ranma Saotome, here!
So, yeah. Link x Zelda. Deny it if you like, folks - there's room to. But, why would you want to?

here here! Zelda's like...a ninja!^^But, just personaly, I always just invisioned shiek as zelda in disguise as a male...but never ACTUALLY a male if you catch me here... I guess that's why I'm not a fan of the whole shiek male thing...actually I always wondered. If after she sent Link back in time, (she didn't send him back to HIS time, he never went forward he was just asleep, so in reality he belonged in that realm as did anyone else but ill wont get on that topic) and after ocarina of time and all that, if she wanted to, coudl she go shiekah again? I think it very likly but I doubt she'd want to be a guy...coudl just be me though...which is where my whole theory comes from. That she was just in disguise and really still zelda the whole time...but i tend to stretch stuff like that.
But I do know that Zelda, in my mind is exactly how you described her. The only thing is when she sends him back she's all like 'this is how it has to be, blah blah blah so go back to your time, we can never exist in teh same realm or whatever she said. With all the gasping and being a girly-girl princess in distress throughout the entire series of battles with ganon, i thought she might have been a little more...i'm nto sure if emotional is the right word but at least a little bti upset that she has to send this hot sword guy out of her tiem completely...(i mean if you think about it, now that time has no link at all...i mean i realize he wanted to relive the 7 years and all but...it wasn't necessary) okay i should shut up now. Man I should wright an essay...

The Sheik disguise might be illusion magic, I suppose, but it strikes me that Ganon, sorcerer that he is, would probably be able to spot an active enchantment like that standing out like a sore thumb. Consider the prevalence of masks in this game, that they expanded on in the next, Zelda 6. Masks that have innate powers, and in some cases can even change the wearer's form. Remember that gerudo mask, in Zelda 5? What would happen if Link had found it in Majora's Mask, and put it on? He would have become a woman, wouldn't he? A female gerudo with a long pointy green hat and a skimpy green silk top and loose, billowy white leggings. And the thing about masks, of course, is that their fundamental nature is one of concealment. Ever take a look at Link through the Lens of Truth, while he's wearing a transformation mask? You don't see the real Link. Likewise, I'll bet if Zelda was wearing a sheikah transformation mask, all of Ganon's divination powers wouldn't have been able to see through that disguise.
Consider the way Zelda made that flash of Triforce light, causing Link to shut his eyes and turn away for a crucial second during the revelation scene. Would that give her time enough to take the mask off, and slip it into her inventory? Link could put something away in as little time as that. Of course, there's also the possibility that Zelda disguised herself as Sheik with real articles of attire, that divination magic could not see through because they're not illusory... but, that doesn't work, either. Consider the outline of Sheik's body. In particular, pay attention to his hips. Breasts can be bound down, but as skinny as Sheik is, there's no way that waistline and hip curvature could be artifice. He's male, physically and literally, until the disguise is dropped. It's transformation.
I do think the sending Link back to the past was a rather badly thought out idea, that seemed sort of tacked on at the end. Yes, it's important for him to have a childhood like anyone else, but couldn't he just put the Master Sword back in the Temple of Time for that? And what happens when he lives through all seven years, and then the adventures among the five temples and Ganon's Tower have to take place? Surely they still do, since they're in the time of Adult Link. Would he go back in the Temple of Time and phase out while his child-mind takes over his adult-body and goes adventuring about?
What it really boils down to is that the time-travel element of Zelda 5 is a gaming contrivance, nothing more. It impacts gameplay, and it has some ramifications in the story, but it should have other ramifications that never get mentioned, and it opens up questions that never get answered. But it is, after all, the Legend of Zelda, and legends, like any folklore, can't be expected to be fully explained documentaries. It's a story, and it can't possibly have happened as it was told, even if we accept the existance of these interesting monsters and magicks, but that doesn't change the fact that it's still a fun story with a great setting and some neat characters. It's not "hard fantasy", if you will. It's just a legend.
Of course, you could say that the facts I picked out about Sheik could be dismissed just as readily, as little inconsistencies in an unreliable piece of folklore. But why ruin the fangirl fun? It's possible, hell, it's downright likely, that Sheik is physically male. That's enough to write fanfics about. ^.~

Huh, I never even thought about the mask thing! I suppose that's a long shot but entirely possible...but I must have stared down Shieks official art image for hours on reference and I agree that he is male physically. I have never played more than an hour of majora's mask, I use the manga as a lot of my references though. But the whole thing you metioned about the tiem travel thing, well I wrote thise fanfic, half in the form of a comic and the other in type but it basically followed what might have happened to link after he was sent back. (ignoring MM's storyine altogether as i ahven't played it) But Link gets sent back to BEFORE he met zelda. He was not sent back to the very moment he pulled otu the sword meaning that his future self and present self now coexist in the same time. This would not be corrected untill the present Link was finally sent back again, leaving of course, zelda's destroyed hyrule time Linkless. This is what I went off of in my fic, that he realized this and had to leave hyrule untill his time came again that his presetn self was setn back in time and he could once again return to hyrule but not before licing for seven years in another country. So that was all my theory anyway. I also had this idea that farore's wind, since it can transport link from one place to another, what if it could be used as an instant translocation sort of idea? Like instantly flash green, dissapear and reappear behind an enemy. Or perhaps it could be used to summon items from a secret store house to Link whenever he may need them as opposed to carrying them around like he supopsedly does in OoT. I dunno, my ideas are weird that way. The story actually ends as wind waker's beginning legend, with hyrule beign flooded and all so everything is tied together in the end. This country he's hiding in is a banished corner of hyrule and (of course it's mountainous) ends up becoming Great Sea. I think i also had something of the two sages in there too, but anyway that's what i amuse myself with fan fic wise. I only write a fan fic if their is loose material available to be used. I did one for inuyasha too, btu i wont get into that. But that to me is what fan fics are handy for.
