One of these days, I'll stop doing HLD fanart. For now? I'm way too anxious for the game to stop, ahaha...There's a bit of a story behind this one, which I thought up shortly after team Heart Machine posted that town hub picture.
A monster or robot creature crawled out from the dungeons underground and was causing a big mess, so the townspeople commissioned the Drifter to take care of it for them. He managed to, but was injured in the process, and knocked into a ravine of sorts. When he didn't come back after a while, the villagers all set off to find and rescue him!
Dumb story, but there it is!
Hyper Light Drifter belongs to team Heart Machine.

Oh, sorry, I got a little ahead of myself there... The developers were posting updates about the game a while ago during its creation on 4chan. More specifically the section video games and the thread amateur game dev general. I remembered seeing it in its early stages so it's really exciting to see it grow and thrive.
