This was a commission for two DC characters as Centaurs. I think one was called Starfire, and the other was Flamebird?? I can't remember any more. This was probably the most difficult commission I've ever done because the picture was so huge, and morphing from horse to human, while easy enough to sketch, causes problems when details like musculature and shading came up. The entire thing was done in Photoshop, after an initial line art scan. I was very proud of the way the clydesdale's fetlocks came out.Edit: I figured out how to edit it now... No more Marvel madness here. ^_^;;;

Everyone's art and skills evolve over time. So I'm not surprized you see some things that you would like to tweak since back then.
I also liked how it appeared in just the line art.

Actually both characters are from DC Comics Teen Titans series. Flamebird was originally known as the original Batgirl (a 1940 / 50's character) until her original origin was made moot by assorted redesignes to DC comic history which eventually lead to the classic Crisis on Infinite Earths. Personally she's much more fun as Flamebird, a character who both idolized and had a crush on Dick (Robin I / Nightwing).

Ah I don't know anymore. I get the companies confused alot. It was a fun commission although the first version in watercolor never worked out. Anyway, good to see you. It's been eons since I put up a commission. Been too busy with work and my attempt to finish something for the Tokyopop manga contest.

Yep, I would have loved to have seen how they would have turned out in water color. But I still enjoy this version too. I'm glad you've been able to share it with people in this fashion. And how knows, perhaps someday well be able to team up again. After all several of the other Titans did get a "fantasy" makeover in that little story of mine.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll update the info. Go figure, if you look her up under Marvel or DC she comes up since she was in some crossovers. (perhaps that is all the person who commissioned me ever read -_-)
