Good accenting on account of the colors adds to this, I think.

It does rather look like glass. Shattering glass, but glass nonetheless. xDD

Kyre the Gimp...

LPTehDust [2008-08-09 07:24:06 +0000 UTC]

Oh WOW!

I've tried Gimp before because I would much rather use an open source program. But I was trained in Photo shop and Gimp is very foreign to me no matter how much I try to use it.

I did not know you could use it to render flames though. I do most of my fractals in Apothis. Could you tell me how you make these?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kyrelamyl In reply to LPTehDust [2008-08-10 22:12:39 +0000 UTC]

Why, certainly!

Start up a blank canvas with a black BG and add a "transparency" layer. At the top, there should be an icon for "filters". Drop this down, click "Renders", "Nature" and then "Flames".
It mostly experimentation from there, depending on the look you want.

Hope this will help a bit...
