I just thought that because I was painting Γfrican ArtΒ΄as such...being a South African, u know...thats pretty kitsch around here....I do try to let my style stand out as its own though....always anyway...if I must paint a kitsch subject...then God damn Im going to make it Broganesque

Thank you for the compliment...its always reasurring when someone adds a work to their favorites list. I took the time out to have a look at your work and must say that I really enjoy your attraction to natural subjects...as well as the more surreal, dadaist and other darker stuff... its a nice change over...I suppose that makes you more fully rounded as an artist.

Your comments on my work are so precise. I love and appreciate many different movements. I prefer when artists experiment and incorporate different styles into their work. Sometimes I feel like my style is not distinct enough-like my work is not instantly recognisable; I suppose Iβll get to that stage someday, like you have.
Yes it is reassuring, as when people do not fav it deters my willingness to upload new pieces.Your work is so amazing it's photo realistic, shows your techniques and the way you've created textures. Iβll be faving away at your works from now. Thanks for the reply and best wishes.

Thanks for the replies....it also gives me positive energy to hear from you! I remember when I was a bit younger...still studying, seems there is a lot of creative energy around then... I still have the piles of sketchbooks and the styles I morphed my way through, the breakthroughs I had, all make me the artist I am today...I would even say that what you see at the moment is actually a very small part of what is inside me....I suppose it is what happens when you become reliant on your art commercially.... I dont know....I suppose though, through the essence of my style you can pretty much make out in the smallities of it, and the detail, everything I have gathered together in myself as an artist.
Its genuinely refreshing to see your work and to read your messages to me....glad to make a new friend too...
