I like Black Cat as on/off flame, not vengeful ex-girlfriend-turned-crime lord because of Otto Octavius going invasion of the body snatchers.

Damn! She looks awesome! I miss her being a vigilante, I just can't handle her being a crime lord in the All New Marvel Universe.
I even did a meme where I put her on my own Avengers team.

I'm more of a traditionalist so just the main/regular Avengers team for me: Cap, Iron man, Thor, Wasp, Ant-man, Hulk, Pietro & Wanda, Black Panther, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Vision, and Falcon.

OK. But who'd fit each criteria?
Cap = Tactical, Stark = Tech, Wanda obvi Mystical, Widow = Intel, would Hawkeye be the Street Level?..., Hulk is a last resort.
THOR = Myth, but who'd be the space hero?..., Veteran maybe Falcon, Vision = profiler, BP = Nature, & Ant-Man is a rookie hero.

Space hero could be Silver Surfer for me, but I wouldn't call Ant-man a rookie hero because he's an original member of the team hehe maybe spidey as rookie.

Right! I was thing Scott & forgot Hank was the 1st. & Yeah, Surfer & Miles would fit those roles.

I was thinking Peter actually, I'm not that familiar with Miles tbh :/

MOMOpJonny In reply to Kyomusha [2016-06-10 22:13:44 +0000 UTC]
Peter grew into his Spider-Man role more on a mindset of being a loner despite having team-ups b/c he has this mental image that any problem is his responsibility if he's there and his alone. Peter is a reservist member- he waits for a call when crap hits the fan & he can help out.
Miles is more of a team player as he knows the world is filled with superheroes & wants different insights when handling a situation.

The NEWΒ Avengers. The central Avengers team is different. But I still see your point. He's a reservist now b/c Cap. Rogers added Deadpool to the Avengers-Unity Squad. Spidey hates DP.

Well, no one else is a "rookie" so I just picked Peter so idk what you mean. and I can't really comment on that team because I'm not reading the newer comics hehe sorry :/

Good job.
And the thing is, she's practically Spidey's only well-known on/off female villain, and is currently a villain due to Dan Slott's writing.

Slott must pay for his crimes, along with Quesada and people like him.

But yeah, I don't like that she's currently a full on villain. She's not as fun as she used to be :/

Hopefully, we'll see some change in that real soon.
Also, am I the only one disappointed by the fact that "Renew Your Vows" didn't bring back anything we wanted, and only gave us a Darkseid wannabe? Β It pretty much shows that Marvel's not really solving the problem brought on by "One More Day," and they are, in fact, ignoring it.

Kyomusha In reply to RexBlazer1 [2016-06-10 04:43:18 +0000 UTC]
yeah, I stopped reading Spidey comics when One More Day happened. I actually hope they're not done with the whole One More Day thing actually, it was just mentioned recently on the deadpool/spidey team-up book. So maybe there's still a chance things will go back to normal?

We can only hope. Β And part of the problem is that multiple people who work in the comic industry, not unlike Joe Quesada, think that characters being married or otherwise in lasting relationships somehow makes them boring, unrelatable, and/or artificially ages them. Β I don't know if this is lazy because the writers aren't good enough to write interesting married characters, or insulting because they think that anyone who reads comics or has a vested interest in them is a virgin living in their mother's basement who doesn't know what to do with a girl. Β Last time I checked, comic readership is well outside that demographic. Β Either way, I think it stinks, because it limits the types of characters you can have, as well as the types of stories you can tell with them.

Would it be safe to assume that those were tears of joy? Β I guess that's an obvious question.
What do you think of them including characters from Watchmen, or the fact that the Joker was actually three guys pretending to be the same person?
π: 0 β©: 1
Kyomusha In reply to RexBlazer1 [2016-06-10 20:00:01 +0000 UTC]
Kinda, but it was more like emotional tears actually hahaha XDΒ
I'm okay with the Watchmen thing, they were always DC so I'm kinda fine with it. The Joker thing is a bit weird, but I am interested in how that'll turn out hehe

Personally I am hoping that they don't turn Dr. Manhattan into a villain like everyone is thinking. That would just be out big waste in my opinion.
As for the Joker, I think the idea is that the three guys who were him were the different incarnations seen over the years. Namely:
1. The one from the early days of comics
2. The guy who used to be the Red Hood before falling into that vat of chemicals
3. The guy Batman fought in the New 52 who took off his face.
Plus, everyone's thinking that the Comedian from Watchmen was one of these guys.

I read someone suggest that it might just be three Joker's from different universes but are trapped in one earth because of the whole reboot thing.
and I think it's pretty much confirmed that it's not the comedian (in Flash rebirth #1)

Oh? Β I haven't read that. Β And I think that Rebirth isn't so much a reboot as it is a reset.

I meant the other crisis/flashpoint stories, not Rebirth hehe. And I see Rebirth as a one year later type thing.
