"Ahhhh," You said, pushing your wheelie chair away from your desk, arms stretched up above your head. You let out a long yawn and looked back at the laptop that sat atop your desk. After four straight hours of writing, you were finally done with your essay for English. "Thank God I'm finally done reading and writing for that atrocious book!" Your (color) hues glared over at the novel in question, The Scarlet Letter, a book you despised to the very core. You felt as if a weight had been taken off your shoulders knowing you would never have to deal with the book again as soon as you turned your essay in.

Cracking your neck, you stood up to stretch a bit more. You were pushing your chair back to the desk when you heard a knock on the window, as if a bird had flown into the glass. You made your way over to the window, peering around at your backyard. The sky was painted with yellows, oranges, and pinks; the sun was setting, night would soon fall.

The water in your house's pool was calm, not stirring or moving, completely still. Looking directly down, you did no find a bird but rather what looked to be small rocks. Clack. You stumbled backwards at the noise. Surveying the yard again, you saw where the rocks were coming from. Someone atop the pool shed next to the pool was throwing rocks at your bedroom's window.

You lifted up the glass pane and peeked your head outside of the window. The person atop the shed was Makoto Tachibana, a boy from your class at school, whom was also your crush. He was sincere and kind, always working hard on his studies and at his duty as captain of Iwatobi's swim team.

"Makoto?" You called to the brunette, "What are you doing?"

Makoto was laying on his side, his left arm supporting his head while his right hand was positioned on his waist. His right leg was bent at the knee and tucked behind his left leg. The whole thing looked very comical when you added in the fact that he looked completely embarrassed and was blushing madly. Why, his whole face was as crimson as the red that was creeping into the sky above.

"U-um... W-well, I j-just wa-wanted to drop by a-and say hi!" He stuttered, stumbling over each and every word.

You let out a soft giggle. "Did you want to come to the door or are you good there?" You teased him. His face went shades of red darker, if that was even possible.

You heard voices from behind the shed whispering and quietly calling to Makoto. "Stick to the script!"

Makoto looked even more embarassed and directed his attention back to you. "(N-name)! Actually, there's something I need to tell you!"

A soft smile touched your rosy lips. "Yes?"

"I- I really really like you! In fact, I-I've got heart ache for days! When I think about you, my heart skips a beat! I- I just really want to be with you! P-please g-go out with me!" He shouted to you, wavering on the shed's roof.

Pink dusted your cheeks. "M-Makoto, I-", but before you could get another word out and respond to the boy's confession, he lost his balance, falling from the roof. Your breath caught as the scene unraveled in front of you. It was all playing in slow motion, his body fell through the air and- and- Splash. Your legs buckled and you fell to the ground, a wave of relief washed over you.

Instead of falling to the hard cement as you thought he would, Makoto fell into the aquamarine waters of the pool. After recovering from the suspense and terror, you immediately stood, springing out of the bedroom and down the staircase to the back door. You ran to the side of the pool, where Nagisa, Rei, and Haruka also stood, gazing down into the water. Makoto bobbed in the cerulean blue liquid, looking up at his team mates.

"Makoto!" You almost shouted. "What were you thinking? You need to be more careful or you'll end up getting injured! Are you hurt anywhere?" Your (color) hues were full of worry and fear, afraid he may have broken a bone or hurt his legs.

Makoto looked up to you and gave a slight chuckle. Pushing his hair back he responded, "Thank you for your concern. I don't feel any pain or anything, I'm fine!" He smiled.

You breathed a sigh of relief and held out a hand to the green-eyed boy. "Yes."

"What?" A question.

"Yes, I'll date you!" A smile. Actually, make that two.
