It's canon mostly, I think with a little fan speculation. All of the symbolism and hints are in the video, this one just elaborates more. A lot of people are saying Mystery (or Ben or whatever) is an evil demon and caused Arthur to be possessed but I (and many others) think that he actually saved him from becoming fully possessed by tearing off his arm.
