alot of you know me as a Sparity hater and i bet you want to know why
(firstly i don't hate spike i just hate the shipping)
no it's not because i ship rarity with Kurtus, it's because Sparity is pedofillya...
spike is to young to have a romance with rarity, in the show it's just a cute little school crush, that's fine, but sparity shipping is just wrong and no one will change my mind
now sweetie Belle on the other hand makes sense, there a closer age so it's not pedophilia, it's cuter then sparity, and sure down the road spike will out live sweetie but for now it's cute as hell

I'm curious, why do you think Spike and Sweetie are close in age? The show has certainly never treated them like they are, and frankly I would put Spike at roughly twice Sweetie's age, him being 15 at about a minimum and her being about 8 at a maximum, based simply on their personalities. Not hating, just wondering because I see this idea put forth a lot.

And if Rarity was like around 19 in that same theory at minimum also, then that would make the age gap between Him and Sweetie Belle bigger then the age gap between Him and Rarity.
Either way, I personally see SpikeXRarity more likely to happen then any of the other ships But this is OK though.
I also think this comic might also have some good explanations for this whole age thing also.

i'm not quite sure, i probable think so because of fan fictions i've read but i don't know, personly i'd put both of them around 10 but that's just me

I understand that's your point, though I have to disagree based solely on what we've seen in the show. Like I said, its an idea I see a lot, and frankly it just makes no sense to me. I always thought it was obvious that Spike was substantially older than the CMC. What with the differences in behavior and how the show treats them, I've always assumed Sweetie to be very firmly early elementary school age and Spike to be a mid to late teenager in comparison to the main characters early twenties. Its only in fanon that I see Spike being treated as equal to the CMC in terms of maturity/age, and I was curious to where such an idea comes from.
That said, if you think they're the same age that's fine too. I was just wondering.
