With Eurovision starting tonight, I’m doing a series of artwork which I’ve always wanted to do: Galactivision! I had hoped to have more pieces done by now, but I’m having major computer troubles, so this is only one of two I’ve managed, so far.

This entry is the Neimoidian performer.

There is one representative singer or group for both Pure Neimoidia and the Purse Worlds. Throughout Galactivision history, Neimoidia has usually sent very decent performers, and spends a fair amount of money choosing their representative and putting together an impressive set of visuals. Despite the fact that the Neimoidian Sovereignty usually scores well, because of their recent involvement with the Invasion of Naboo they, quite simply, will never win.

This year’s entry is Maana Remos; a fairly popular singer from Koru Neimoida, whose vocals and beauty are even managing to win over a few of Neimoidia’s more staunch opponents. Her song for Galactivision is “On Pylat Wings” - a fairly grand piece, which a number of viewers are saying is too good for Galactivision. Others call it “pretentious” and “overblown.” Her pylat-inspired gown has also garnered some laughter among Galactivision fans.
