It's been a while since I drew Heru!I thought I'd take a study break for a couple of months to improve my art, but then I realized that I was being extremely unproductive compared to my usual self, and as such I decided to cut it short.
I haven't done a piece of Heru in a while so I thought it was about time that I did!
There were just a couple of experiments on this piece, first was the way the base colours were set , I used a brush I just made to set the base colours pretty messily and cleaned that up later., the next was on the face, I did slightly more detail this time.

That. Is. Awesome.
And the combination of fire (wich was feared in Japan, because it could destroy whole towns in matter of hours) and a fox (a creature feared for it's cunning and malevolent nature, for japanese) is ... well, scary! But the things that are scary on the inside tend to look beautiful!

The perspective is a nice touch. I know that's not the easiest thing to draw. Also this recurring character is cute. Reminds me a bit of Touhou, but not too much.
