I saw the thumbnail of this and felt so delighted, because it looks so good!
Just love how close you stayed to canon with the art style. It's so difficult to keep the YGO art-style since it's so different and has a lot of edges and strays far away from realism. You did a fantastic job capturing the characters in your picture and I love how they turned out. Yuugi's hair is so difficult, but you did an amazing job! Both of them look awesome.
I love their expressions, too! Both of them seem so happy. Knowing that today is Yuugi's birthday (4th June), I feel like that this fanart was drawn for this day. Jou giving him a birthday present and smiling like that, winking at him – damn, I love those decent little hints! I wonder what is inside the package. Whatever it is, I'm sure he made a good decision and will make his lil' friend happy!
Furthermore, I need to mention how much I love the smooth and crisp coloring and how much I adore what you did with the lineart. The lines are soo clean and you even payed attention to lineart dynamic, making some lines slightly thicker than the others to make the whole scene look more vivid. Yuugi looks so cute with his big round eyes and I love how you did the shading for this! It's a simple shading technique, but still adds so much power to the artwork! The background works perfect for this, too!
