Description
"Thor, I am not about to waste what little Blue Gems I have left, on resurrecting your sorry arse on this pathetic excuse of an adventure!"
"Aye, worry not, brother! I shall have Volstagg purchase more for you later at a discount! You need only pay the base price!"
"What?! But that's still-"
"Friends! To Glast Heim!"
In which Thor drags their (reluctant) little party to GH Prison and proceeds to mob a flock of Injustices, Rybios and Zombie Prisoners on his trusty PecoPeco, despite Loki's insistence that 1 healer is not sufficient for the task. Needless to say, they all respawn back to Prontera not less than 20 minutes later, each having lost 1% EXP (or more), and somehow it is all Loki's fault for 'not being a reliant healer' ("Thor I told you I am an M.E. Priest, not an F.S. Priest!")
Loki Month | Prompt No. 5 Alternative Universe - 'Loki & Company meets Ragnarok Online'
I've always wanted an RO AU for the characters of Thor, but sadly it doesn't exist so I had to create it myself. What better than combining a Marvel franchise inspired by Norse Mythology with a game inspired by Norse Mythology as well, and thus this was born.

All characters from Thor and Avengers belong to Marvel
Ragnarok Online belongs to Gravity
Artwork is mine.
In case anyone else also likes RO and Thor, I actually got carried away and worked out more headcanons for it:
Thor and Loki are the Princes of the Capital City of Prontera, Rune Midgard, sons of King Odin and Queen Frigga. Unsurprisingly, Thor followed the path of Knighthood, for Prontera City is home to the official Knight's Guild, and are sworn to protect the whole of Rune Midgard and its inhabitants. Loki on the other hand, chose the path of magic, and seeing Prontera City also houses Rune Midgard's official Church, the Prontera Church, he chose the path of a cleric, much to the teasing of Thor's company and sometimes Thor himself ("Some of us do battles while others just heal"). It was not until later that Loki discovered that he was not the true blood of Odin's house, but an experiment subject left behind and picked up by King Odin during his quests in Lighthalzen Laboritories. ("You could have told me what I was from the beginning! Why didn't you??? B-because I...I...I'm the monster adventurers scare novices with??? So I'm no more than a loot, a trophy and reminder of your glorious days as an adventurer??").
This 'betrayal' and 'heartbreak' would then result in Loki(now a High Priest)'s gathering of his own army of monsters and leading an attack on Prontera City itself, warping them directly into the middle of the city (cleric's Warp Portal skill). A newly formed guild, calling themselves 'The Avengers Guild', would then stand up to him and ultimately subdue the mad prince.
Character Class list:
- Steve Rogers the Crusader/Paladin (I chose this class for him due to his favoring shields e.g. 'Shield Boomerang', 'Reflect Shield', 'Sacrifice' skills, and the fact that he's more of a 'protector' and 'defender' rather than an outright offense class)
- Thor Odinson the Lord Knight, and his PecoPeco steed named Mjolnir (contrary to Steve, Thor's more of a direct offensive-class, and the two would be the muscle and tank of the team)
- Clint Barton the Hunter/Sniper (need I say more?)
- Natasha Romanoff the Assassin/SinX (sneaky, deadly, quick, and capable of being a really good spy)
- Tony Stark the Alchemist/Biochemist, and his homunculus Amistr named JARVIS [which he sometimes nicknames 'Iron Sheep' due to how hardy it is] (Alchemists are inventors and rely on a combination of science and alchemy rather than magic, creating their own homunculus to serve as servants/helpers/tanks while they launch powerful Acid bottles and fire grenade at their enemies)
- Bruce Banner the Monk/Champion (being the closest to a cleric class in the group, he often lends his skills in healing and other basic support magic, although ultimately, it would be he who subdues Loki, after he activates 'Fury' and Asura Strikes him into submission)
- Phil Coulson the Soul Linker (due to his ability to 'handle' each Avenger and coordinate them according to their strengths; akin to how Soul Linkers can 'bring out the best' in each class with different Soul Link skills)
- Nick Fury the Gunslinger (he just seems to fit. Maybe it's the trench coat and eye patch)
- Loki the Priest/High Priest (I debated between making him a wizard class, but ultimately decided against it; the original trickster Loki, despite being a magic user, is quite hardy and not easily defeated [unlike RO's wizard classes who have low HP and defence], which rings true for Priest class as they are hard to kill unless you can K.O. them quickly before they can heal themselves. Priest class also have a wide array of skills ranging from Teleportation to Portal Warping, and both long-range and short range attack neutralizing skills like Pneuma and Safety Wall, and the ability to 'mute' other magic users' magic, rather alike Loki's versatile magical abilities and his resilience to go head-to-head with Thor. And of course, the fact that the cleric class is generally viewed as more effeminate [and sometimes made fun of by melee classes] coincides with Loki and all the 'Argr/Ergi' accusations for his choice in magic. Ultimately, I just see him more fitting as a Priest class than a wizard class)
- Hogun the Assassin/SinX (his quiet and observant, alert nature)
- Volstagg the Blacksmith/Mastersmith (heavy weaponry and joyous, boisterous nature)
- Lady Sif the Knight/Lord Knight (alike Thor, a warrior and a direct-offense class; she likely chose the same path as Thor on purpose)
- Fandral the Rogue/Stalker (Casanova, a happy-go-lucky, wild and I-get-what-I-can nature; I debated making him a bard-class, but ultimately decided a rogue suits his nature more, both melee and fighting with a sword, plus the support nature of a bard doesn't quite seem like him)
Heimdall is either a Crusader/Paladin, or a Kafra (teleport service, haha...)
