They aren't. They tend to make up bios alot. Nintendo used to print their own.

If Nintendo let them say they are cousins Β in their guides and not correct them and then marking Β them with their seal then is Β it possible that Nintendo might like the idea of them being cousins. Wouldn't be the first time the the character 's info change .Β
