Description
This was a picture started in my art class about a week and a half ago. My art teacher said she wanted a 'finished piece', so I did just that. This took about 7 hours of work, and I was going to add a background, but I decided it would take away from the main image and the dragon would probably blend in too much with it. I have the funniest feeling that this is gonna get like 15 pageviews and 3 comments. Wow. What a waste.O yes, and you can't really see all the detail unless you look at the full view. So please, see the full view.

Wow, great picture. The textures are great, the pose is excellent, and the whole thing is just so soft and smooth. Not to mention that it's a well-drawn dragon.

I'm extremely impressed w/ the dragons anatomy. But that's not what sends me into awe.
It's the subtle shading.

Yes, I worked really hard on that anatomy. I even used different techinques I usually don't use, which was a challenge for me without any refs or anything. And thanks! I worked really hard on that shading to get it just right, took me forever and it was partially confusing in some parts. Thanks for your comment and I'm glad you like it. <3

Hey wow! Awesome lighting and shading here. I think this is one of your best hands ever! It looks like it's popping out of the page! I think I forgot to mention those stripes. That's awesome how they fit the contours of this guy's muscles.

Thanks for the really nice comment. I totallyed messed up on the hand, but I tried to cover it and I guess it worked. oO Yeah, I really think I'm improving on perspective, and that's just grand. I really wanted to add stripes for some odd reason, so I just did. Of course they fit the contours! They would look so goofy if they didn't!
