As far as I can see on this particluar part of the stage, you've clearly demonstrated you can overkill with enemies. But that is besides the point here. The viking monoliths are not as detailed, but that really does not matter. From the youtube video, it seems that they kept their hefty HP and their heavy assaults on the player. This would make a good challange in the game, especially since you (Knowing you and your previous works, based off of what i've experienced) would place more than one of them on the game in the same location. I did not know that bats could thrive in the snowy norths, but overall they are rather formidable on the game as they tend to act like Boos on the mario series. They are only a threat when they are close to you. The black clays look interesting, but in your video, they appeared to be slow. Do they make up for it with large amounts oh health or an attack that has a high chance to stun you? Finally, it could be my immagination playing a trick on me, but I do believe i see bullets going across the screen. Does this mean that Lance (along with the other players) would be an unlockable player later on in the game?
As far as the screenshot itself goes, It is definately interesting to see so many foes in one clustered gathering, along with all of their projectile attacks. The ice land looks very... bleak. But that is a good thing, since it should look cold and uninviting. The background could use a little something in it to add to the visual appeal. Perhaps a style of coloring that mirrors a snowstorm? Or maybe add some snow/ice structures in the back. You know, give it some jagged edges to show the harshness of the ice or some playful sculptures to show the lightness of the snow.
To wrap it up, the screenshot is very awe-inspiring in both details and general awesomeness. The shot has definately inspired new questions about the game, but i have a feeling you won't answer many. The enemies look very diverse, and it is pleasing to know you created a large enough diversity of enemies to be used in the game. It looks beautiful, and i can't wait to play the finished game.
