Description
Done off and on for a few days, now, during breaks from my illustration homework [nyar]. Wanted to play with Painter, since it's been too long. Also tried a slightly different way of coloring. It got annoying after a while, but I think it turned out fine. X0To find out a little bit more about this character, head here - [link]
I like his hands. XD
Done in Painter 6, do'n't remember how many hours. XP Font and border additions done in Paint Shop Pro 7.

Getting dressed~ *laugh* Actually, he probably is'n't in this particular picture, since he's an officer, and this is like a locker room for the soldiers. X'D At this point in the storyline, he probably has his own suite. XDD

I think it's easier to browse DA in general, but LJ is easier to use [?!]. But when it comes to these two Digression guys, I can post them to DA as I want [just not any arts from the story they came from~] I'll be posting button pics soon on my LJ, and you'll see what I mean. X3

Sorry for the delayed reply. XD; Well, for this picture, I started with a base blue color, and I painted the color and light on top of it. This way, I was not painting the shadows, but the light. It's a lot harder than I though it would be, but I think it turned out fairly well. =3 I do'n't really know of any "tips" to help you do it. I was kinda of just playing around, myself. XD;

I like the uniform, and the little barcode over his eye. He'd be a really cool character, and I like how complicated the background is. People, uniforms, and a nice black border. I like much.

wow. this is very beautiful. i love the soft shades of blue used on the skin. the poses are very good, not stiff like so mnay other artists make them.
your linework i always find most clean and amazing to look at.
i am very enraptured by the diversity in their expressions, and how most of the picture fades into that solid light blue.

Wow. I looooove it!! I always wonder how students from different countries or states study art. I'm from California from America and I took alot of art classes but still no where close to you no matter how many years I practiced. So far, the art classes I took are beginning art, advance art, advance placement art, drawing and composition, figure drawing 1-3. So what art classes have you taken so far in your life? If you self studied then please tell me your ways of teaching yourself and give me some advise. Please tell me and can you tell me some description of those classes. Then I can go overseas and study in those classes. Thank you! and once again, I love your art (^o^)
