However, I wonder how the letter would originally had looked like; I mean, though love bursts conversational limits, what "lingua franca" and what script the lovers would use ... Well, I'm tending to Old Turkic (probably too old) or Uighuric Mongolian . Or would it rather be Persian Arabic ? – Just (unromantic) guesses, and depends on the era of course.
You seem to have Kipchak roots (or at least fundamental interests); why not learn Chagatai or Osman? You could occasionally use it in your stories.
