Ever since I first heard that chorus I just felt like I HAD to draw something for it. But seriously why have such a beautiful chorus but such a irrelevant and terrible addition of rap? Why are nearly all good songs ruined by rap!?
Sorry if any of you like rap out there or rap yourselves etc. I just really don't like it- how is it a form of music? I appreciate and admire how they can improvise and string words together so fast, but its so... unmusical, harsh and I sort of find it an insult to music.

But ANYWAY I had so much fun doing this! Midgar!Ruins was a BITCH to do. You have NO IDEA! The perspective betrayed me big time and came to bite me in the ass. Which is why it kinda looks funny perspective wise.
But otherwise im very happy with this, ALOT OF LAYERS! probably the most I've used in 4 months.
So this is a TRIBUTE to Cloud, Zack and Sephiroth and if you squint maybe Aerith.
Black feather- Symbolises Sephiroth
White feather/ Sword- Symbolises Zack
Flower petals- Symbolises Aerith
Cloud's Tears- Symbolises his love and loss for them.
Airplane- Symbolises the song- Shooting stars and wishes.
So yeah poor Cloud, wishing that he could see those 3 at least one more time. Wishing that Sephiroth didn't go crazy, wishing that Zack didn't die for him. Wishing that Aerith lived.
~Wow! That was deep! ANYWAY i'm effing hungry. So i'm going to go eat something.

mainly because of the flower petals and it's a tribute also kinda to aerith/aeris. Plus Cloud wishes that it never heppened etc.

But yus I hate it too when all my favourites die too, but then if you think about it, they died for a cause and it makes you love them more for it. Zack= died for a friend, just one guy, but that one guy was the saviour of the planet.

I actually agree with you that the rapping in Airplanes is good, I did this one before I found the clean version, the one I had when I did this had tonnes of swearing in it so yeah... But I'm still not fond of rap but Airplanes had some of the better stuff.

If you're not happy with the airplane, why not use FFVII's version of airplanes and place one of Cid's airships in there? it would fit better with the world, but still hold the same idea behind the lyrics.
But I like this. A lot of people label Cloud as an emo bish, hell, I even joke about it. But Cloud has gone though a lot of hardship in his life. If you look at it this way, Cloud's mind was forced to grow up. During those five years that he spent in Nibelheim's mansion being experimented on by Hojo ... his mind only experienced very painful moments and he was denied five years of maturing. So when he saw Zack die, his mind was still that of a sixteen year old, held a lot of painful memories of Nibelheim that must have seem like yesterday to him ... and on top of that, his mind was all broken thanks to Jenova's influence. I honestly don't think Cloud ever had a real chance to grieve Zack and Aerith's deaths until after Meteorfall. And then he finds Denzel ... a kid who probably reminds him of himself and somewhat of Zack ...
So Cloud does have his reasons for being angsty but in the long run he does over-come his hardships. If you've seen the phone-convos from DoC with Cloud, he seems like his old lovable dorky-self. Haha, sorry about this. I guess I'm in one of my love Cloud moments. I have a love-hate thing with him.

I wasn't sure I was gonna do a Chopper but then a helicopter never goes as high as a plane thus cannot be a shooting star.
