Nice image but there is a small flaw to it. The janizzary cap was white, the red one was for the cavalry recruited in the same way as the janizzaries who were the far better known infantry. Other parts of the kapikulu corps had other kinds of headgear, like a turban for the artillerists (topcu) and a "sock" cap for the sekban grenadiers.

Like it. I think it would be more authentic if he had a yatagan instead of a shamshir. But still it's rly good.

Kilij is a Ottoman version of shamshir. The term shamshir is a arabic.

Ah, makes sense. I think it would have been comical to make a continuation as a PSA on gun posture. Or make the gun explode like a Ross rifle. òwó
