So I was working on another speedpaint, this time using some random brush-shaped brush from the 'default' section instead of square brushes.

And then, halfway through, I asked myself (and I say this to myself a lot), "Self, why am I copying an existing photo that's so perfect because it's a photo?" So this time I listened, and focused less on making it like a photo and more like a stylized painting. It's for fun, after all.

So it's Emmy Rossum mainly because she's in Phantom. Not necessarily because her voice was amazing (it wasn't, but that's okay since it's a movie and not on stage) but because she's pretty. And has an interesting, distinctive face. Not as much as Keira, who I really like to paint because of her face, but Emmy is more classic looking.

Plus I liked her dress.
