I set out to draw this piece probably a couple of months ago. I was in the mood to draw something just... beautiful. It did not start out as Twilight. It started out as an angel. But, my mind started changing part of the way through drawing the hair and it ended up being somewhat like hers. Then, more changes along the way, it became my own version of human Twilight (before she got her wings, of course.) And since the show started I'd been talking with my husband about drawing them as humans.

This was very very nice to draw. I am very happy with the outcome, as I've never done a pose like this before. The shading with the hair I'm very happy with. It was a pleasant experience to learn from anatomy-wise.

I was originally going to go for a very MLP:FIM-inspired background, with her reading on her balcony rather casually, but lately my eyes have been getting very cloudy and fuzzy and it's been getting harder and harder to see and so I'm trying my best but I will be cutting a bit on the edges on small things like that. I'm still trying though.

I plan on drawing all of the Mane Six and more! I'm really keen on drawing Cadence, for some reason. Wish me luck!
