So crisp, yet fluid. Lovely work.

Your work is just something from another world.
I was just telling a friend of mine how you and your work been such a huge inspiration to me ever since I was a mid-teen! And you've only gotten better and better and better...
What are your plans for The Master Tailor? Will the narrative be told through a series of illustrations/concept drawings, or something more like a comic or novel? I am highly intrigued..! The work for it so far is stunning!!

Thank you so much. I always feel really happy to know someone is getting inspiration because I'm usually unsure of myself because of frustrations and difficulties along the way
As far as the project goes, it's a concept world with a completed story already solidified. A few well-balanced central characters with settings and themes mapped out have always hovered around. There just isn't any tangible evidence of it because I haven't been able to mentally organize myself enough to piece it together until very recently. It's been years of just poofing out a character or two before I get lost and overwhelmed. A core focus with the main character touches on sensitive issues with mental health, so I guess it just helped me find the right outlet to snap me out, cope, and get it started in earnest. I actually don't think I've created this way since, ever probably.
Anyway, the format is something I'm really struggling with a bit at the moment, actually. I feel like I have these large set pieces focused around mood with narration, but there is a need for dialogue and context that sequential work would provide a bit better. It's like I'd need a larger format to tell the story that's not a straight out comic. It's a new territory for me, yet I somehow feel like I know it'll work but it hasn't hit me how yet. I'm just frenetically trying to get it out on paper before I feel like I'll lose it again for a while.
Would there be any advice you'd have? You seem to have so much solid world building with your characters and consistency to what you create that I'm sure you've gone through your own trials to get to where you are with your art.

My advice is that there is no such thing as a bad or lazy format; just unconventional ones. I am just starting to explore for myself that not everything has to be neatly packaged and highly polished to tell a good story... you don't need a tightly edited book or comic or chronologically sequenced piece... they can be a series of social media posts, or a sketch book filled with concepts, or...anything, really.
One of my favorite examples of unconventional story telling was Empire of the New Sun which was presented as a development blog for what looks like an animated feature, but was never actually intended to come to full fruituon (neither of the artists involved are animators).
Master Tailor sounds very exciting to me, and I am really excited to see how you choose to present it finding a format that best fits the narrative you want to tell is important, but so is choosing a format that suits your emotional resources, etc. It can be difficult to commit to a high polish, long term project... but thankfully, that is not our only option anymore * U*
What ever direction you go in, I will be following with baited breath!
