Apollo is confident and extremely outgoing, a very social butterfly. He likes being the center of attention and getting praised for the smallest of things. He's a true flirt this Esperona, aiming to make anyone and everyone blush under his sunny smile. He's a kind 'mon, usually not minding at all to lend a shoulder to someone who simply needs to vent or just be listened to. Despite being gentle he is hot-tempered. He is easily angered and tends to blow up when his fuse has been blown. Usually a song or his sister is what calms him down. Apollo is impatient and often gets bored easy, but once again, a song is the easy solution. If one can get past his needy and extremely playful behavior, they'd find he's an ally worth having.
Bio:
Love blossomed between a Leafeon and a Flareon. And within that flower of love, the twins were born. Two young eevees, born as the sun and moon kissed under their shared sky at dusk. Apollo and Artemis were the newest addition to their loving family. Two new of pride and joy.
Happiness was never meant to be however- joy was shattered. Within the hours following their arrival to the world, their mother fell ill. A fatal, inner turmoil tore her down. Their father, though he tried his best, could do nothing to help her. He could only watch tearfully as she kissed his cheek and breathed out the her last sigh.
Their father was full of greif. The twins were too young to understand his shattered heart. They had barely opened their eyes when their mother departed. But their father still did his best for them, keeping them warm and fed. He worried at first. Young Apollo's fur was not natural. It was not shiny, but it was lighter than that of his sisters, a paler brown color that normal. Was he sick? Unwell? Would he be taken from this world so young? Fears plagued him, but as the days went by, little Apollo showed no sign of any of it. Just as happy and healthy as his sister.
Yet, his nerves got to him. A safer place for two newborn 'vees was definitely needed. He herded them to their paws and lead them. They stumbled and complained, not sure why they had to leave their warm home. 'An adventure', their father would utter, giving them a small smile before returning to his pensive state. Had Apollo known that would be the only smile he saw from him, he would have taken it in more, commit it to memory and cherish it. But he didn't.
Hands reached for him, a swift bite from his father onto the human's hand as he cried out to the twins, begging them to run. A fruitless cry, as they were barely able to properly register what happened before they were tossed in a cage, never to see their father again. Apollo snuggled close to his sister, hiding in her fur as he whined and worried. What was happening? She comforted him, stayed close, and in return he did the same for her. In this cramped cage the young Eevees made a silent vow to protect one another, if it all came crashing down.
However, their new destination wasn't... bad. In fact, it was far better a home for two kits to grow than the dangers of the wild. They had arrived at a facility- a daycare of sorts for the criminal organization, Team Plasma- where other small mons lived and were taken care of. And they weren't an exception. The twins were loved, adored, cared for and practically spoiled. Apollo adored all the attention, and soaked it up like the sun's rays. His unique coloration made him quite popular and he liked to believe that he was given all the more love because of it. Simply put, the twins were in heaven.
Despite doing all he could to garner attention from the humans, doing all the cute things an Eevee could to be spoiled more and more, Apollo never missed spending time with his sister. Artemis liked to be outside, enjoy the air of the forest that bordered their home, and so Apollo was there. Especially during the highest point of the sun. It was his favorite pass time when he wasn't being doted on, soaking in the sun rays and enjoying Artemis' company. Together, they even made a new friend, a young Jolteon by the name of Orion.
Their friendship was strong at first, Orion was like part of their tiny family in Apollo's eyes. Orion would be there for their daily strolls and sibling bonding. Charming and fun. He was even there to congratulate them when they evolved. On a day similar to their birth, The setting sun slowly parting ways to let the moon shine. They evolved together, the twins, and Apollo never felt better in his new form. His color, similar to when he was younger, was nothing like an Espeon should be. It was as if he had been bleached by the sun, the purple color nearly completely drained out of him, leaving a lilac Espeon in his wake. Orion cheered them on proudly. It was him who suggested they make chokers for one another, a celebration gift. They worked on it all night together and Apollo soon found himself cherishing his new symbol of love for Artemis. It truly felt like everything was perfect in that moment.
Until it wasn't.
Growing up, Apollo had been showered with all forms of attention and affection. He was popular among those in this daycare facility. But the only really attentioned he truly craved was that of his sister. And bit by by, he noticed how that was slipping away from him. Morning after morning, night after night, Apollo would go looking for his sister only to find her at Orion's side. Their daily time together became few and far between as Artemis spent more time with the Jolteon. Apollo tried to bear it, but the spoiled Espeon could only take so much. He snapped, shouting and hissing at his sister for abadoning him and ignoring him. She tried to talk but Apollo barely let her. When talk didn't work, she simply grew angry over the spoiled brat her brother had become. Tensions between the two grew until they simply growled and ignored each other.
He didn't need her. He was amazing all on his own. She could do as he pleased while he thrived like a king here. He tried to forget her. Anything to knock her from mind. He received an earring from his favorite caretaker as she made promises to keep him soon. He'd have an even better home and she wasn't invited. He adored his earring and even attempted to toss the choker into the trash, but that was too much for his heart. And yet their battles only grew more and more as Apollo's jealousy stirred. Orion and his sister were too close- the Jolteon was trying to take her away and Artemis was letting him. Everyday came with the growl of an Espeon and the dismissive snarl of a Umbreon. It was clear the caretakers were tired of it.
There two were seperated. Apollo wasn't sure where Artemis was taken, but he knew where he had ended up was not the warm home of the caretaker he admired so. She was no where to be found. Instead, this was where Apollo found himself riddled with pain and agony for months. Experimented on until the labs were satisfied, Apollo trembled in his new form. horns wrapping around his head, the fire jewel on his head now a bright orange. He had fur again, just like when he was just and 'Vee, but now it was on his legs. The last of his purple color faded in favor of pure white, and sunny wings protruded from his form. A fusion of Volcorona. It hurt so much- all of these modifications. The pain was immense and Apollo was unstable for a long time. Atleast they let him keep his choker, and his earring, hoping those two items would calm the rampaging Espeon in the cell. But it didn't. Not for a while.
Then the day came where Apollo was taken from his cell and brought to a ring. A test they said. The strongest is what they needed so a fight was what they wanted. Apollo barely cared. His mind was out of it, but it immediately snapped to attention at the sight he was soon greeted with. A sawsbuck- an umbreon? under attack by a Jolteon. This fusion he had never seen before, despite how changed she was, Apollo knew who she was. The Jolteon, he knew as Orion, soon charged, and Apollo called out to her loudly, snapping her from her dazed, broken hearted state. Artemis had won. Thank goodness, she was ok. Then Apollo was tossed in. His eyes went wide as they ordered a fight. The Espeon snarled, wings glowing in a flare before he met his sister's eyes. She grinned. He smirked. They nodded.
Together, their newfound power was enough to destory the wall to the building. They ran. Ran as far as they could away from the lab- away from the pain and into freedom. Apollo wasn't sure how long they ran. So many cycles of the sun and the moon had passed before Artemis laid down to rest. He stayed with her, sleeping until the morning sun washed over them. That morning, Artemis cried. Cried for all that had happened. Apollo apologized, comforting her and promising to never let them fall apart again. No matter what. From then on, they were together while attempting to just.. live. But those of Team Plasma refused to give them peace. They weren't safe in Unova, Artemis had told him. And she them to their path of escape.
Castelia City, the city on a shore. So much water. He gripped and growned, wanting to do anything but get in the water, but she convinced him on the largest ship. Another time of their lives Apollo couldn't count. Days lost to them, yet they still had each other. Their arrival to a new city was bittersweet, immediately hiding off in the wilderness to hide from the humans. Apollo didn't feel any safer, but Artemis assured him they were far from Unova. A new region. The Sinnoh region. Her instincts were better than him, so he trusted that and followed her lead.
They soon found themselves meeting another Sawsbuck. Apollo put himself between his sister and the possible new threat, trust in the stranger as low as ever, but Artemis calmed him, spoke with him, and they learned of the Rocket Hideout. Apollo was wary, but if Artemis was going, so was he. It sounded too good to be true. But he signed up anyway with hope that he could finally relax and be free with his sister.
