First things first:
Can I ask for some feedback on the art generally? I can't seem to grasp the concept of shadows and depth so it my looks bland. Did I put too many details? or is it okay?

Weapons of Choice:
Moonlit Memory (katana)
A sword reinforced by a powerful alternating current that relies on his semblance, Basically a conductor. Striking, cutting, and thrusting attacks are performed with the blade, with the sharpened edge and point used for lethal attacks, and the blunt edge used as a clubbing weapon. Proficient users were also able to wield the blade with such accuracy and speed that they were able to deflect bullets. It has no secondary features though the sheath on the other hand can become a semi-automatic dust rifle. The blade can be infused with dust however it needs to be sheathed regularly to infuse it.
Lunaria CG v.5.1
A customizable gun that uses Dust, Bullets and shells. It has two modes: Bullet mode and Dust mode. The attachments also include a shotgun barrel and a submachingun barrel. The pistol variant is it's vanila form.
Auras/ Semblances:
Electrokenesis - Massive amounts of plasma energy surge in his body. He can use this energy to cause electric based attacks. Directing this energy to certain parts of his body can cause different kinds of effects such ass increase in strength ,speed, stamina and even heal wounds by energizing the cells that heal them. but it can sometimes cause massive amounts of strain on his body. Too much usage will cause his entire body to burn out and possibly cause cardiac arrest.
Enhanced aura shield - due to his semblance, when activated, his aura shield is far more stronger and durable than others.
His name and backstory is based on Sleepy hollow, His symbol also portrays a moon which is adorned with lightning.

I had commented on your OC with his casual outfit on. I love this one with the coat. And I really like the details you've incorporated. I've seen a really nicely colored and shaded artwork of a muscular man in your gallery so I don't think you'd have any problems with coloring. Don't change this piece with highlights or more color...BUT maybe practice on a copy and be inspired by other artists doing the same type of figures with color.

Thanks. I really do try to copy other artist's works as a way to practice. So far, I have confidence in my cell shading, but still an amateur when it comes to proper shadowing. I don't have a drawing tablet so that makes it harder for me...but I'll get there

Also..that muscular guy you were talking about...are you perhaps refering to the one with the futuristic body suit? if so then that was just for laughs. I just googled a cool body suit and put doomguy's face on his head lol.

Never think you've added too many details.
You avoid the whole looks too plain feeling the more details you add.
You've got some great clean line art.
Easily trumping my ability hence my sketchy lines.
Loving the clothing, the pant wrinkles and the straightness of the coat works.
If anything for improvement, think of a light source placement in order to add some shading.
Also, I'm not sure if it was what you are going for but you could tone down the thickness of your lines too.
Overall, you've got something great going.

So? Weiss and Blake aren't pure monochrome. You don't have to change it fine, but RWBY is about color. Just a piece of advice.

Yes, rwby is about color. He's a stealth type swordsman so I mad his color pallete limited. Initially i planed to make his armor white adorned with blue similarly to grimm but it was too much detail for a rwby character. I like how monty made their armors and clothes simple and not too complex. That's what I was going for. Technically he's just wearing a chest plate above his coat.

A sword that can cut through almost any object isn't exactly what I call balanced. That's more Sword Art Online levels of OP.

A sword wielding coat wearing spiky haired protagonist isnt really that rare. In fact, thats a standard trope on most old school anime protagonists.

The art itself is nice, the lines are strong and straight which i like. There are some potential to use this as a template to put in some background and make it more vibrant, but overall, it's well drawn. The colors are simple but it's the "good" kind of simplicity.
the character himself is a bit op. I mean the sword reminds me of raiden's sword from mgs which is pretty op in that series. Semblance is cool, would be nice if it compliments with his weapons/ fighting style.
Overall nice character, i'm not very good at reviewing tho, so idk if this helps.

HO-LY SHIT! This art style is awesome, its very similar to my favorite artist on DA Isaiah Jodren, the few differences being the shading and not much else. It's still a really good picture but you should try working on shading, mainly because you apparently can't grasp the concept of depth and shadows. Remember that every picture has a thousand words, so the more detailed, the better.

I'm not so good with symbols. But I do have other Characters.
I can't really do good with symbols since I use mouse to draw. I mean I've tried numerous times but cant seem to get a hang of it. Mostly I just sketch them on paper.
