I did, but did not do nearly as well as you haha. I got 3 gold keys (one for portfolio) and 5 silver. You should definitely enter next year though, with a year to get even better I bet you'd own scholastics

I have a few of them on here. The two gold keys were "Incomplete Thought" and "Wheelbarrow". I actually have no idea how the wheelbarrow one did so well, I entered it last minute because I did it my sophmore year and thought it had no chance haha, but the judges are strange sometimes. A few of the silver keys were "Smoke", "Afternoon" and "Michele".
You should start building up a portfolio waaay in advance. I chose to do it kind of last minute, and I had a lot of things that weren't done that were replaced with things I didn't really like. Based on your gallery I'd say you have an amazing chance at doing really well.

im taking pre ap art next year and i think we are going to make our portfolio in that class. is it to late to start then? or should i start right now?

Well, I started mine at roughly the beginning of my senior year and I really underestimated how long it would take. I didn't account for the time that school work and other stuff would take up, and my art class wasn't focused on portfolios. I guess it just depends on how fast you can work, and how much freetime you have (I work VERY slow haha). If I could do it again though, I definitely would have started as soon as I heard about it, because I kind of regretted some of the stuff I ended up using. If I were you, I would probably start thinking about what kind of stuff you want in it, and maybe experiment with and improve on different mediums to. Variety never hurts, and will probably make you stand out
In short, it's always good to get a head start haha.

Haha wow, only a sophmore now? Yeah, you have quite a bit of time. I'm sure by the time you're a senior you'll be incredible. Just keep on drawing and don't underestimate your time, and I'm sure you'll be very successful
