I had so meant to have this up last week, but what with being sick it just didn’t happen. Then I was still sick during the week and busy going back and forth to the airport, but I finally got to it so yay!

This is my Aranea doll. I started work on her pretty much right after the Sylph update because I just loved her design.

Used a SS Ghoulia as a base and I colored her hair (you can see the pains of that here and here ). She was fully repainted then, and horns were sculpted, painted, and affixed to her head. Then I hand sew her clothing with three shades of orange and orange thread (ooo fancy! ) She also has some base Ghoulia glasses, repainted KS Ula shoes, and 2 gold jump rings as her bracelets.

Then we come to her wings. I had the idea of how to do those when I started but as I went along it started to not work *exactly* the way I wanted it too I used the plastic from a DotD 3 Pack (yay recycling!). The lighter blue parts are turquoise sharpie (it’s the perfect color fyi) and the darker parts are metallic blue paint. I used packing tape to seal the painted side so as to avoid smearing the sharpie with sealant but it makes it quite durable too. Her wings are also removable to easier storage and display.
