That reminds me, other than serving as a way to move the plot along, Shoe didn't really have much of a point, did he? It's just like, at one point the game's like "By the way just so you know, Engarde's got a cat", and it's like, alright, and other than that one point in the plot, he's pretty much (if I had clicked "send" this would've said "like" again and that's a bad habit of mine I need to break) never mentioned or anything. Engarde himself barely mentions him and it's his damn cat.
He's a plotcat.

I'm still convinced that Engarde loves Shoe, though. The thought of him coming home after a day of being an evil bastard and snuggling up to his cat... it's just so cute. Someone's gotta stay by him and keep him thinly attached to sanity. Either that or Shoe's actually his partner in crime and the two sneak out at night and raid the town.
