Description
Oil on canvasthis is a painting i did because i was inspired by this artist called shishkin. (russia, 1890's i think)
it turned out a bit static but oh well

I saw this and thought "Looks like the forests around here", so I had to click on it. Finland is right next to Russia, and thus it makes sense.
I like the grainy feeling here. There's a very nice atmosphere in this forest, as if it's there, but not quite real. I like that.

i am no longer in russia. (canada now) and i dont really remember the forests there. 
this is more from imagination, but i really want to see real forests like this!!

I love how the ground is covered in different sorts of moss. It's so different than the forests I was used to in Maine, USA.
