Oh my, already! It's been more than a year since I first played Mother 3 or any of the Earthbound titles!Seems quite long ago since this game came out, but it's still being appreciated by old time fans and new ones alike. Good old Mother 3. I reckon it should get a release on Virtual Console. That'll please too many people, too many people are desperate.
The game really deserves it. Even though I only started playing it last year I can understand why it has the army fanbase. (not pigmask army XD) What can I say? It really is "strage, funny and heartrendering"! The characters are awesome too. I mean when does a little physic boy team up with, his dog, tomboy princess, and a moron thief? Ok maybe the dog isn't out-of-ordinary but anyway. XD
Mother 3 also has one of the most powerful storylines any game can get. It really tries to play with your heart. It can tear it into shreads, and piece them together, then do it again. If you haven't played this game, put it in your "games I must play" list. Make sure it's on the top.
I was reeeaaaally lucky with posting some celebratory fanart on time. I was afraid I was gonna be late, but I remembered I was working on this Lucas and Claus picture and it was perfect for this!

This artwork is amazing. It portrays practically everything the game has in store. Both Lucas and Claus holding a sunflower and together really gives off what this game was about. Great job!

Oddly enough, its characters from these games I don't know about. And can only identify two in all. You have Lucas and I would love to know who the ginger is.

My expressions on playing these game were stunned by the awesome storylines!! Im actually excited for Mother 4(The fan game) to be released

I wasn't too keen on Mother 4 at first since it's just fan-made, but looking into it got me curious. I might end up giving it a shot in the end.

Same here! Especially with the designs! I wasn't very fond of Merlyn's design, but now i'm, like constantly drawing her! She is just adorable! I'm hoping the storyline won't be like, hmm.. how would I put this..... hmmm..... like evything is just thrown together, with no plot or meaning! But I do have faith in them!
Yea, I got into it when me and my brothers would play Super Smash Bros. (This and Pokemon are very sacred in our household xD) and me and my bros got curious as to what game Ness came from, and that's where it all started!

It kinda sucks, cause I've known Ness since the original SSB when I was like... 7 I think. And I've only ever first played Earthbound last year. Well, better late then never I guess. XD

True! It's never too late to play Earthbound! I am going to pass the game onto my next generations of family members so then a huge Earthbound fan base will be created in the future xD

Oh yeah, that reminds me, Ness and Lucas better be announced for Smash 4 soon! Lucas is my main in Brawl even before I played his game or Earthbound, playing Mother 3 made me like him even more though. XD

Amen to that! I just created a new Earthbound fan! I took my friend's phone and got the emulator and the Earthbound game for him xD I shall introduce him to Mother 3 aswell (I just need the english patch for the game c: )

I don't think both of them will be out. We have Mr.Saturn and the Franklin Badge confirmed as items already, that practically confirms one of them already. I just hope if Lucas doesn't make it, he'll be replaced by another Mother rep, (I'd love it to be Jeff XD) and Ness can have his moveset altered to match Lucas', or vice versa. Or if Lucas does return alongside Ness he'll have a more unique moveset, cause people still consider them clones.
(though personally I feel they are quite different, I mean apart from specials and one smash attack their standard moveset is totally different)

Omg!! That is what pisses me off!! I hate when people call Lucas a Ness clone!!! Lucas uses his PSI for combo attacks, Ness uses his equipment and punches and kicks!!! I thought the same thing! If they'd drop Lucas from SSB4, I'd hope for Kumatora or Jeff, Like Jeff's final smash can be the New Years Eve bomb(even though it's from Mother 3 lol) And Kumatora's final smash could be Pk Ground!! Her combo moves would be like a boxer and the B + what ever button could be her PK move set : )

Kuma's chances would be less than Jeff, since for one Mother 3 is exclusive to Japan (which really sucks) and it has no official art (which probably doesn't have as much of an impact as the other, but is still to consider). Also Jeff isn't psychic, so there is no way he'll be like Ness or Lucas, whereas Kuma is. Also there has been the hype for Earthbound's release on virtual console, so it's getting much more exposure (which is extremely pleasing), and I believe Jeff is the most popular character after Ness? (or tied with Paula?) Anyway, Jeff was an assist trophy in brawl, and he hasn't been shown yet as one in SSB4.
Lets just dream that Jeff follows the same path as Little Mac...
... I kinda feel I'm the only one who ever though of that.
But no Nintendo character has zero chances of getting in, it is Sakurai after all, like, who thought the Wii Fit trainer would be a fighter, no one predicted Greninja either.
Oh and if Ness and Lucas are both in, at least change their final smashes!! PK rocking and PK love!
