I was getting tired of picking at this for days, so I decided to upload it - I rarely colour things entirely with vectors so it took a while to get the gradients looking correct.This is my attempt at a persona character for myself, her name is Poley Bear.
Although she often looks rather apathetic, she is actually quite friendly! Like her polar bear species, she enjoys exploring, sleeping and despite her small frame, she is a huuuge eater - no doubt the best way to her heart is through her stomach. She is very much a cold-weather person and happily can wear t-shirts, shorts, or nothing at all year-round thanks to her deceptively dense fur. Her large paws don't add a lot to her femininity but for travelling across all manner of landscapes, her heavy-duty feet make life a whole lot easier.
I hope to expand on her design in the future

Browsing through pics and seen her. She is very cute my friend. She is really cute. Very nicely done. Reading her description she can handle pretty much anything that is thrown her way. I think the bigger paws just add to the cuteness. Not all girls have to have tiny feet.

Ah I was wondering when you were going to show us another pic of her. Shes taller than I visualized. Kinda looks like shes headed to the beach. An icy snow covered beach that is.
The gradients in the shadows look cool by the way. (Heh, darn puns. Unintentional though.) I wonder what kind of drink shes got. A sports drink maybe?

I actually imagined her to be quite short, although I should probably try to vary it since most of my characters suffer from 'same-height syndrome' hahah. Ice beaches are the best, you don't have to worry about getting sand in everything!

I kidd, but I do like the partially clothed look, it says something to that vintage style of cartooning. Poley huh? She looks like a dear, I certainly hope she's not shy of hugs

Hahah well she has nothing to hide, her fur keeps her pretty well insulated on its own!
Even though I don't wear shorts very often, I just imagined her wearing them right at the beginning of her design hahah. I also draw her wearing tshirts and a windcheater, so she's not got any absolute 'default' clothing. Hugs are fine, but it helps to bring a sandwich along...food offerings are sure to get her attention

Jeez, that is such a freaking cute polar bear of yourself XD. I love the shading colors here, feels warm, but at the same time icy, due to the purple to blue gradients!
