and at this dreadful moment the clouds made way,
parting to reveal the elegant but unforgiving moonlight.
as it softly hits the intricately etched crystalline rose window,
it fractals in many colors and spreads over the empty church hall,
holding the world's contents in a single beam of light.

the condemned god mourns in the moonlight that belongs to his warden,
yet the only thing of the outside world that he can still gaze upon.
he has long lost the hatred to his captor, and long lost the will to escape.
but of all the flames that were smothered that day,
one he may rekindle nevermore.
