While this is certainly an interesting idea, I think there are a few things you can improve on.
One, Microsoft Paint can be a difficult program to work with because of the small white dots outlining the picture, which can be a bit distracting. Try filling in these dots next time. Also, shading definitely helps with a picture, especially when you have a light source, such as the sun in the corner. The anatomy seems to be a little off, and I do believe that you could maybe place the arms a little lower on the body. You may also want to add some texture by drawing strands of hair or scales.
All in all, keep at it! I'm sure you'll improve.
