Description These wild horses have nothing to fear except winter. And it shows. Summer is a time of plenty. And with no natural enemies like wolves or bears around there is hardly anything to fear. Just the occasional bold bachelor stallion trying to steal a mare from an established social group.

I thought they were mares in foal until i saw that they are stallions, two fat boys. Love the expression form the one on the right

My gelding tries to get that fat all summer, he clames that he'll starve to death in teh winter too!

Yes, they are now. But you should see them next spring when winter has ended. All skinny and thin. This summer fat will help them through the tough winter.

True! Summer was very good to them. They're happy now, but winter is just a few weeks away. They'll be skinny when next spring comes. They will very much need the fat they built up now.
