Its a really nice effect- and it looks good against that backdrop. I'm unsure about the bin though it may grow on me.
Personally I like the free space around the girl herself, though you could perhaps have some torn/old flyers on the way behind that may make it a little more full without making the background too busy and distracting too much attention.
