Yeah, nothing much to say. I wish I knew what happened with the background since you can see where the square canvas is. I obviously need to plan out my canvases x_X.Actually was supposed to be a second drawing to another drawing I did, but I'm not happy with the first one, so make up a scenario behind it since it can work on its own. *shrugs*

One would not expect Mewtwo to be one to use a cape. But well, he look surprisingly good in one and now is not an exception.
Meeting again after a rebirth? Or maybe a reconciliation after dark times? Or maybe Mew seeking recomfort at the strangest of places after re-sealing her brother? Or maybe Mewtwo accepting to step on his pride because he value her more than his pride despite what he claims and tell himself?
Nice little pose anyway.

Nicely done overall although I think you drawn Mew a bit too thin (she could use having more significant curves) and you should probably adjust Mewtwo's pose a bit so he doesn't look twisted (maybe draw him a bit more to the side? Alternatively, maybe make his lower body face more toward the 'camera'?).
Still not bad at all. Lighting effect make for a simplistic but effective background. Smoke effect look a bit weird though.

XD I like his cape, and I need to practice my cloths.
It was supposed to be a second picture to a previous one I drew, but didn't put up because I didn't like how it looked where Mewtwo had to go somewhere for a long time and leave her behind. Can't exactly recall the reasons behind it, though.
I've developed that habit of drawing her a little thin, but I always try to place emphasis around her torso area that she is female XD. Yeah...
Yeah, not too pleased with Mewtwo's pose the way it looks, but any other attempts I made made him look weird. I'm not happy with his arm and hand, so it obviously didn't work XD.
Still messing around with backgrounds like that. I wanna make some pictures look like the drawings from the visual novel of CLANNAD, but I haven't succeeded yet.

More seriously, I tend to draw Mew with an emphasis on her curves instead. Namely, I draw her with her characteristic pear-like shape, give her large hips, and overall made her very curvy. I feel that this is fairly effective in making her feminine despite the lack of breasts.
Myself, I'm still working on my own style. It has its ups and downs and I think my pratice and experiments are starting to show... although unfortunately, as I don't keep much of my recent stuff on DA, my DA gallery is not representative of my abilities (only the most recent Ex Lightheart sketches are anywhere near recent).

Yeah, but you do have a nice style that is really distinctive. That was how I found you, by searching at random through Mewtwo fan art, and I saw a picture of the Mewtwo/Deoxys fusion in your style. That was about a year ago, I believe, if not two.

I remember those. They're fairly old by now though ; I should definitely upload the recent pics I scanned.
Notably, one was an idea for a final boss-ish PokΓ©mon character. Tentative name is "Prosecutil". Basically, what do you get when you take Mewtwo's essence as the Legendary of Darness but remove the impurities that are his Mew DNA and his soul in general? Well, you get a half-alive abortion... quite literally. Still, for all of it being inferior and an abomination, it sure can fight very hard especially that unlike Mewtwo, it is not concerned about not destroying the world in the process.
The other is a 'true Mew' of sorts, a theorical redesigned based on a few factors. Unlike the former, it is a mere what-if not meant for actual use and just a thought experiment (as Mew is already, in many ways, the logical form of a Legendary of Light and Love).
I think they should be quite a bit better than those old pics.

No, I haven't quit on it (I wouldn't dare quit it). I've just been having trouble writing it all out. College doesn't help. Thankfully, the term's almost over, so I hopefully will be able to write for a whole two weeks and see if I can get the chapter half-way done, at least.

Yeah, college is hard. But I did give permission for people to check up on me about it, as long as it doesn't get very repetitive, you know?
And honestly, I did have Forsaken in mind while drawing it. I've been drawing preview images for the chapters lately, so that added to it.

Also the idea you had for this is sweet! Maybe Mewtwo went to some city to patrol around (as we can see in the openings of the anime)...? Plus Mew is connected to the Tree and I think that she can't stay away from it for a very long time. (I don't remember if this detail is in your fanfic too XD)
