what a hot scene--the deep shadows only serve to heighten the drama and tension of the pic. and i get it, i so get it: ff8 was definitely one of those rare productions that worked no matter what your orientation, because the love story was so pure and well-told. (i always wanted quistis and xu to get together too; in my fandom, they did.) anyway, i love the poses, especially the brunette's pose. and that's one awesome kiss.

Okay.. now that I'm over my spaz attack I can give a better critique. This is actually quite good for your first photoshop attempt. The only tip I can really give you is the 1337 lineart one... what you do is you duplicate the picture, renaming the new copy lineart or something.. then from the background you make yet another layer, naming this one color. Set the lineart layer to the multiply setting, and when you color on the layer labled color your colors won't mess up the lines and makes it much simpler to color...
Not sure if this will help very much, photoshop is difficult to get used to..

Nice coloring job. Can you teach me how to do that? I think the couch may be a little too dark, though.

I have Adobe Photoshop CS. I filled in the areas then used a burn tool to darken what I wanted... and the dodge tool to lighten what I wanted. Using a higher diameter for the tools helps it have a smoother edge where the smaller diameter helps it have a harsher one. I was just trying it out really... I have much to learn with the application.
Yeah, the couch is a bit dark. It prints out darker than I had hoped too. It was filled in with ink when I scanned it in... so I had minimal space on it to work with. I may go back and redo this and try to fix the couch once I learn more about Photoshop. :nods:
