I used a partial reference of him, working from it as more of a base as most of him was hidden (was my senior photo, so kinda focusing on me ahah). The rest was from memory though

anyways the painting is absolutely amazing, your dog is so gorgeous.
I love the somewhat rough strokes and yet everything looks so detailed and the teeth are so cool.xD

Koda is gorgeous, and beautiful dog, I love your painting! I also have a labrador-mix dog, his name is Alex, but he's like a 1,5 year old puppie, and also behaves like that, I think he'll never grow up, but I don't care, I just love the way he is, a playful and really kind dog

Your dog sounds adorable! I miss when mine was a puppy! Even if he still acts like one. He's getting a grey beard, which wasn't in the photo I vaguely used as reference, so I completely forgot to throw it in
