Description Plume Wolves are an open breed but aren't to be created/designed for your own personal profit. Thank-you.

_______________________________________

Appearance:
-Body types vary from slim to plump, and from muscular to lank. Their bones are hollow and light, most likely a trait passed down from their Aerite ancestors. The most common body build is that of a typical wolf.
-Feathers sprout from their body in various places. All Plume Wolves have varying amounts of feathers growing from their necks.
-Females are about the same size as a regular wolf while males are a few feet taller.
-Some Plume Wolves have mutated (or very uncommon) physical traits about them. ie. Large ears, long slender tails, etc.,
-They have long claws and teeth to aid them in hunting.

Behavior:
-Have been known to travel in packs of 3-6 animals but are more commonly seen by themselves.
-Personalities vary with every wolf. One may be savage while the other may be very docile.
-The only time Plume Wolves resort to fighting one another is when: there's a lack of food, a territory trespass, or over a mate.

Age:
-Can live for an average of 50 years.
-Those who die young are those with the most sought after colored pelts. It is very rare to come across a vibrantly colored Plume Wolf who has lived to its prime.

Colors:
-Can be most any color. No Plume Wolf will ever be classified as a "sparkle dog". Meaning no hot pinks, purples, blues, etc. mixed into the same wolf.
-The feather color reflects on how the eyes, tongue, claws and pads will be colored. ie. Blue feathers = blue eyes, tongue, claws and pads. (different shades of the same color can occur)

Markings:
-There are no set marking types for Plume Wolves. They may be spotted, striped, blended, saddle backed, dappled, etc.

Types:

Natural Plume Wolf [common]: Plume Wolves with natural fur colors (browns, creams, grays, etc.) and any colored feather that either very rarely shows up in fur color or doesn't show up at all.

Unnatural Plume Wolf [common]: Plume Wolves with unnatural fur colors (pink, blue, red, etc.) and any colored feather that either very rarely shows up in fur color or doesn't show up at all.

Static Plume Wolf [uncommon]: Plume Wolves with fur color that is similar to feather color (blue furred with blue feathers or white furred with white feathers, etc.)

Multine Plume Wolf [uncommon]: Plume Wolves that have many different colors in their feathers (a rainbow feather or a blue, purple, green, and white feather) or have many different colored feathers throughout their bodies (red feathers that fade into orange feathers, etc.) Colors found in the feathers are either very rarely seen in fur or not seen at all.

Vibrous Plume Wolf [rare]: Plume Wolves with dark fur coats and vibrant feathers. The color used for the feather (vibrant green or blue, etc.) is found in the fur as well, depending on what markings are used.

Aerite Plume Wolf [super rare]: Plume Wolves that are colored any way mentioned above but have large feathered wings as well.

Habitat:
-Have been seen in almost every type of habitat aside from the ocean and the antarctic.
-80% forests
7%  mountains
3%  plains
3%  rainforests
3%  tundra
2%  desert
1.5%wetlands
.5% cities

Diet:
-Main diet is meat or fish but have been known to eat berries and garbage.
-Will scavenge off of other predators kills.
-Depending on food availability, may resort to cannibalism.
-No human attacks have been noted.

Breeding:
-Aerites who breed with other Aerites will give birth to Aerites. But an Aerite who breeds with a wolf or a regular Plume Wolf will give birth to any of the other Plume Wolf types.
-A Plume Wolf (not including Aerite) who breeds with a regular wolf will create any of the above mentioned types depending on the looks of the mother and father. Same with when two Plume Wolves mate. A regular Plume Wolf and another regular Plume Wolf can never create an Aerite Plume Wolf.
-If the mother is a female Plume Wolf, she will lay eggs of up to 3 in a batch. If the mother is a regular wolf she will give birth to only one pup but complications in the birth are more likely to occur which is why they're are far less Plume Wolves born from a regular wolf mother.
