Description
Now I finished the book about six months ago, but I still can't get over how awesome that last line is. I just want to say Teelia did a wonderful job writing this book, and I cannot wait for the next one!
The second part of this post I cannot believe I didn't post sooner! It was part of a project we did in ELA. It was a narrative poem project that we had to write on a book of our choice. Five months after the poem's creation, I am finally sharing it.
Sat upon the window sill there laid The Radio Star,
Staring out at the world she had never seen,
only able to look at it from the window's sheen,
Unaware of what the future would hold,
Allowing the subjects of the land to ask,
“Who Killed The Radio Star?”
Who knew a forgotten noble would be sent on something remarkable.
All because the ill intentions of the mage,
She was able to explore outside of the window sill,
Her only view of the outside world.
For strong hearts are mandatory.
For once she was out of the dark,
And shown the light,
But only to be thrown back into something more complicated.
She was bound by her ambition to be recognised Instead of forgotten.
Pictures, Video, and The Radio Star,
All just apart of a game of chess.
For their strong hearts were mandatory.
Searching like mice for the shards,
Left behind from the Jester’s mistakes,
But they also made restless mistakes,
And the blame was put on The Radio Star.
She was tempted by the shining splendid city of gold,
They lost their objective,
And the last shard became defective.
Pictures had came, and broke her heart.
Leaving her to believe the tricks of the Jester’s smarts.
For her strong heart was mandatory.
The Radio Star was a moth,
Tempted to the fake light,
Thinking that she could help everyone,
But like the moth,
She was punished for her misunderstanding of that light.
Video’s strong heart was mandatory.
Pictures was played from the beginning,
And Video turned to loathing.
The Shards that would free the ruler,
Now is a weapon at Picture’s disposal,
As Video comes up with her proposal,
She changes into something lethal,
Bound by tricks on herself.
Pictures was burned because of his arrogance.
Video was punished for her ambitions and assumptions.
For Their strong hearts will always be Mandatory.
Although, I The Studio Star know who killed The Radio Star,
Video killed The Radio Star.
But now with the threats from the council,
I fear there is too much to handle.
So what is the point in holding back,
For the Jester had revealed the true colour of my city,
A dark and cold black.
I wonder this as I look at the sheen of this mirror.
Things could never be clearer,
And I realize,
My strong heart is mandatory.
