Oh. Is *that* why there's only one visible eye? I always wondered, "What the heck is this thing?" Popular fan theory is that it's the guard that was in the Pot Room. He *does* say that he wishes things were more exciting... xD

i dont agree with that theory, it dont make sense to me. if you think about it, he is present in young links timeline in majoras mask, the guard was still a guard in that time so the guard couldnt have become him years later. i think hes simply a traveler and collector of poes. he was drawn to hyrule after ganondorf turned it evil.Β

I don't really agree with it either, but I thought it was interesting. The soldier wishes the world had a little more chaos, and he also mentions an interest in ghosts, you know? When Ganondorf took over, he could have decided to stick around and become a ghost hunter under the Evil King's rein. Or, he could have died in the battle and stuck around afterwards. Then, if you think about how everyone has a Terminan counterpart, this soldier's counterpart could have become a ghost hunter (cough died cough) early on instead of a soldier- you do find him in Ikana, after all. A place that's rather dead- he always disappears after he's finished with you.
Like I said, I don't really support the theory. I just have a habit of coming up with evidence for both sides of arguments

well everyone in teminia has a counterpart probably because it was originally supposed to be a expansion to OOT but that idea was scrapped andΒ miyamoto challenged the makers to whip up a game out of what was left in just about a year. so i assume they saved time by reusing models.Β
