I think the bosses, especially Dark Link, is what keep the Water Temple interesting, because of not, it would be the most annoying temple ever, simply because you can get easily lost and forget what you should go.

I find Dark Link much tougher than this guy, but it is annoying when he grabs you and throws you around.

and you're supposed to hit it with the hammer was it?
I always used bigoron's sword on it.

I think you're supposed to use the hammer for both of them o.o
specially with Dark Link since if you use the default sword he's bound to mimic you. But if you have the hammer or the Bigoron's sword he wont even be able to dodge

I know that Morpha you didn't need the hammer, just whack it with any sword when you remove it from the water with the Hookshot. I haven't try beating Dark Link with Biggoron's Sword.

well, yeah Morpha was easier to kill. But with the bigoron it's faster to kill Dark Link
