It was only a matter of time before playing around with this style led me back to the City of Heroes characters I spent so many years running with, and as such, here’s my friend’s tiny force field defender, Psionique. (To clarify, Psionique is tiny; her force fields can be rather large.)

I really, really like how this one turned out, though I think the light purple glow her eyes get when she uses her powers could have come across better. Maybe I’ll think of a better way to portray it next time…

One aspect of this I really like is that, without lighting and shading to worry about, it’ll be really easy to combine her with any other heroes I draw like this in the future. So over time I might wind up with a shot of the whole gang.
