Description Game animation. Cody Firing a pump shotgun, commonly used by police and SWAT teams. I don't have a designation for the weapon as of yet, other than 'pump shotgun,' but its basically a cross between two pump shotguns I think look rather snazzy. The Mossberg 500, and the Remington 870.

It's a great animation, all the right movement. Just need to have the spent shell coming out, unless that's going to be seperate in this game you talk of?

Well, I hadn't animated it yet, but I was planning him having like an alternate automatic shotgun with a "cruiser" setup, top folding stock, that resembles a SPAS-12.

Not sure when I'm going to get around to doing that though

dosent the trigger hand push into the pump as well? I mean unless it shouldered chambering the new round is going to be a little harsh for just a hand support (honest crtisisum!)

excelent work I've come back to your gallery twice because i like these animations. anthro's and guns the mix of my life hehe. I think that i'll dev watch you because i like what you got (that is if i haven't already!)

Well the idea with the pump was that he give the shotgun such a pump that it forces his trigger hand down for a moment. I did originally animate it where his trigger hand didn't move at all, and it just didn't look right to me. Not enough action going on, if you know what I mean. I do appreciate the honest criticism, and I'll prolly play with the idea, where his trigger hand goes up instead of down, but I do think I'm going to end up leaving it the way it is.

Oh yeah every game needs a shotgun !
Just a spicy sound addded and the shotgun part is done
Urrm dont you think the particle effects and muzzle flash should be
drawn by the games particle engine or well as divided sprite ?

LOL Shotguns are interesting weapons, and nicely round out any weapon inventory in police or military armament, and in general (IMHO) is a nifty gun).

Well, I haven't tinkered in Flash *too* much, but I didn't know that it had a particle engine to do things like that with. Though, I was thinking of having it as a divided sprite as you pointed out. Unless something better comes along, I'll prolly go that route.

Heh, funny thing you should mention the semi-auto shotgun. I was planning on making another shotgun for use in game (styled very similarly to a SPAS-12 with folding stock), which would allow the player to select between two firing modes; automatic, and pump action. Anothing thing to add to my animation to-do list. *chuckles*
