Shotguns. My favorite weapon, but that may have been obvious?
It's a great animation, all the right movement. Just need to have the spent shell coming out, unless that's going to be seperate in this game you talk of?

Well, I hadn't animated it yet, but I was planning him having like an alternate automatic shotgun with a "cruiser" setup, top folding stock, that resembles a SPAS-12.
Not sure when I'm going to get around to doing that though

Well the idea with the pump was that he give the shotgun such a pump that it forces his trigger hand down for a moment. I did originally animate it where his trigger hand didn't move at all, and it just didn't look right to me. Not enough action going on, if you know what I mean. I do appreciate the honest criticism, and I'll prolly play with the idea, where his trigger hand goes up instead of down, but I do think I'm going to end up leaving it the way it is.

LOL Shotguns are interesting weapons, and nicely round out any weapon inventory in police or military armament, and in general (IMHO) is a nifty gun).
Well, I haven't tinkered in Flash *too* much, but I didn't know that it had a particle engine to do things like that with. Though, I was thinking of having it as a divided sprite as you pointed out. Unless something better comes along, I'll prolly go that route.

Heh, funny thing you should mention the semi-auto shotgun. I was planning on making another shotgun for use in game (styled very similarly to a SPAS-12 with folding stock), which would allow the player to select between two firing modes; automatic, and pump action. Anothing thing to add to my animation to-do list. *chuckles*
