My father, who we lost last year, raced more years than I have been alive. Your work often reminds me of the better times from my childhood and the great people we know.

He started out on motorcycles before I was born. He race sprint cars and than move on to sports car under SCCA rules about the time I was born. I remember the FFs and F1s best. We did things like set up a team and car and raced a Renault in 24 hour races for several years. In later years he want back to go carts midgets and sprint cars. When he died he was working on restoring a 60s FF.
My only racecar was a SAAB 99; the family ran 3 SAABs under factor support
